May 2026: AI-assisted Documentation Search
This feature will introduce an intelligent, context-aware search system across MineTwin’s documentation website. The search functionality will support natural language querying (e.g., “How do I configure haulage cycles for UG trucks?”).
The built-in AI will reply with a structured explanation supported by references to the most relevant documentation sections. This will allow users to significantly reduce time spent searching for information and improve onboarding and operational efficiency.
July 2026: Simulation of Battery Electric Underground Loaders and Trucks
This functionality will expand MineTwin’s underground simulation capabilities to support electrified fleets. The key enhancements will include:

Detailed modeling of battery-electric loaders and haul trucks

Simulation of energy consumption based on load, gradient, and duty cycles

Removable/swappable battery unit workflows
This feature will allow MineTwin users to evaluate electrification strategies, optimize battery usage, and understand operational trade-offs in underground mining.
August 2026: Improvement of Bypassing Logic and Simulation of Yield Behavior in Open-Pit Mines
This update will focus on achieving more realistic operational behavior in open-pit simulations. MineTwin will enable users to specify bypassing, overtaking, and car-following behavior for each road segment. The feature will include support for both signalized and unsignalized road sections and intersections.
This functionality will improve the accuracy of haulage simulations, leading to better planning and more precise analysis of operational inefficiencies.
September 2026: Simulation of Acceleration and Deceleration of Open-Pit Mining Trucks
This update will introduce more realistic modeling of open-pit trucks acceleration and deceleration, enhancing motion behavior along haul routes. The functionality will build on existing rimpull curves, rolling resistance, and road quality features to deliver more accurate speed profiles under varying load, gradient, and surface conditions.
The feature will allow MineTwin users to improve precision in cycle time estimation and increase overall haulage simulation accuracy.
October 2026: Web-Based Studies for OP UG, Interoperable with MineTwin Desktop
Currently, MineTwin allows users to execute simulation studies either locally or on a simulation server. This update introduces the ability to host all studies on a centralized web platform (public or private for an organization), where users can create, modify, share, and track the progress of their studies.
In essence, this brings MineTwin’s study mode to the cloud, unlocking the full benefits of cloud-based deployment. Web-Based Studies will be fully integrated with MineTwin Desktop, enabling users to launch web-based studies with a single click from the desktop, and open them in the desktop directly from the browser just as easily.
